How to give all elderly minimum wages..when young strong foreigner labour is so cheap. As a boss, I will no take this idea too. Why not pay the eldery to ret...

Laughing Think properly before answering...if you needed to pay for housing here, children education, medical fee, utilities , town council fee etc..tell me how much you will be left with..if your wife have to look after the children so more..You work it out and tell the rest..

I wondered whether you are paying..and do foreigner worker needed to pay all these.. Laughing naive..

LOL. MAkes me wonder if you think. Foreign workers have families bigger than average SIngaporeans in their hometown. And they must be in desperate need of money, if not why would they travel so far to the unknown to work? Go ask around, how many foreign workers do not mail money back home every month.

Talk about all your fees and etc. Can compare like this meh? Then why don't you go on and compare living standards.

Yes you pay for housing, thats why you live in much better house compared to them.

You pay for children education. So go on and compare your child's education environment and theirs. See the difference?

Medical fees. While they have employer, you have CPF funds and some government fund for being Singaporean

Utilities. Do they use computers and air-con? If not of course pay less. THINK

Town council fee. Do they have people wash their corridors for them? Clean rubbish? Organise activities on weekends?

You are paying for what you get. They don't get all these comfort as you did, so naturally you pay more. And if paying more makes you complain, then you are like wanting to keep the cake and also eat it. Laughing

Laughing You can outsource it to CAM / programmer depended on the facilities available in the firm. Jig and fixtures must be designed to suit the product if in bulk.

CNC you will need to recalibrate you tooling periodically due to wear and tear.
The rest will be a loader and measuring equipment.

If your machining is piece that..then CAM may be easier. Programming is no that differicult to outsource. It's time to change in order to survive..esle just matter of time before you vanished..from the industrial.

Laughing So it's true that by encouraging foreigner firm can increase employment of local singaporean. Hence corporate tax must be lowered somemore to encourage more foreigner firm. Thanks for the input. We love you. Fellow

nothing insulting okay for my comments.....but look and compare to indonesia.....they get paid 300US for a family......and mind you a family..........

any lesser......i think is a bit inhumane...........but on the other hand.......we can then win a competitive edge over other countries.....like malaysia or thailand..........because they can offer cheaper stuff..............but then again.....there are pro and cons.......like in sg..............where the transport and infrastructure is laid and stablilised...........

any more.......i think we lose out....because people like bill gates from the USA........invested money into india because the labour is cheaper and much more productive......look at china....isn't it growing fast................faster than anyone can imagine............its good to be cheap and effective at the same time though.........but usually people think about their pockets first........when its a blow to their pockets....they usually think twice......

Feel free to comment rationally, if it's healthy for all singaporean why no. I been to England to Australia, from Indonesia to China..mostly on business trip and some leisure trips, on the way I see life too.

Will you feel inhumane to them for getting poor treatment, but it's can't be singapore to their rescue.. (No right name, No right word). i think, i work with india grass cutter. i escort them cut trees and grass 1 then sapu(sweep) the grass. they ask me can take home a piece mutton? ( our fresh rations). i say can then i tell them to sapu sapu. hmm….pay them a lamb and a pack cigs. if they dare, ask for beer then tekan them.

Grass cutters are paid around $25 per day. Singaporean driving maching about $900 to $1200 per month. Giving is good for your blessing. (Si Shi Fu)

Well, it's your well being and easy going. I would pay for begger in the coffeeshop if they only asked for proper foods. But exceeded that, I wouldn't. I would direct them to seek help from the right and legal source, whether they are given the help or not will be beyong my control.

I think if paid and treat singaporean worker with quality wages so that they can have a life properly, without worries, they may perform the work of 3 foreigner labours. I think most singaporean are grateful to their good master.

name the horrible chinese company? got so many lah...those pte ltd..outsourcing business....but ok at least they do give non chinese a chance...lolll...if u chinese ppl complaining bout hard to find job...then wht bout the non chinese singaporeans....?? its already hard to find job....but employers make it harder for us when they specifically mentioned that they just want chinese...my gf got work at Singtel HR as a temporary staff b4...one of the HR manager told her...not to call up non Chinese for interview.....except for this malay gal coz got insider recommened....however they already sort of decided not to take her in...but call up for interview just to give face lah...but they actually decided to take da lady coz shes "pretty"....aand can talk one........ it was a customer service officer job.......but thats another story.....its sad that some ppl practise such discrimination......im very disappointed as a singaporean.....

Cool Cool Cool..talk slowly, being hot blooded may not bring you to heaven..well, every companies have their rules and each manager have to take care of their section first.

Some times, the manager also have their difficulties from getting support from their management. I interviewed people before, recruited people too after interview. I know my requirement, I know my restriction, I know my difficulties in getting replacement and most I know I am responsible for the company and my fellows workers under my leadership.

It's may be good to let the public know of such company if you have the proof, else nothing much you can do about it.

Like customer service officer where company is alway shortage of. Unable to get full strength at any one time and with high result set.

I wouldn't mind to get someone better than me, cause I am replaceable too if he or she can fit into my bill. I will be happlier and won't wanted to stay if I found myself no longer needed.

However, I had choosed to run my own firm after I decided that I no longer needed.. Laughing

as long as its a govt company, theres nuthin we can do bout it...even navy dont want to employ muslim... Laughing so forget it man..this country is biased...BUT if u CHINESE then u better stick to Singapore..u'll faced racism outside SG...for us its ok..we r already discriminated here...doesnt make a difference if we leave SG...maybe we have better luck outside SG Wink

even my dad durin the recession had problems with paying the workers levi...so he went to see MP to for extension....but MP told him...if u dont have money why u do business! my dad got so pissed he told the mp, he has been paying TAX, he dont owe the govt nething..what he want is just an extention to delay the payment...not forfeiting the payment...but the mp bo chap him... We are all borned in singapore and lived here for so long..I see everyone as singaporeans and trusted them. In the case of any event, I think all singaporean NS man will stand together and defence singapore. I will, will you.
