this is why ppl who don't know anything should refrain from
making "smart" retort...
back to the main topic...
things like that do happen...some ppl say if you can get a citibank
card, you'll have no problems getting other banks' card...that is
not true...a few years back, i submitted my applications for 3
cards, UOB, Citibank and Maybank at almost the same time, but i
only got Citibank and Maybank's approved (i've only got POSB and
DBS accounts)...and now, i get calls from other banks trying to get
me to apply for more cards, which i always reject, cos it doesn't
make much sense...
first of all, i have a visa and a mastercard, both of which should
be accepted by almost all the merchants, and secondly, by having
less cards, i can accumulate points faster...some cards let you
waive off the yearly subscription if you accumulate enough points,
while some will depend on your usage...
my maybank card is subscription free if i use it at least once
every 3 months, and i spend just enough to get citibank to waive
off my yearly subscription fee...so i dun see a need for more
cards...
