kyohei86 SG guys.. my Mz6 have 4 disc brakes .. i used to have drum brake for my Mz Premacy.. i find that it's better to have drum brake.. cos when i'm driving Mz6 .. when i brake hard.. it will skid a bit.. not very precise.. dunno whether could it be my tires .. and cornering for Mz6 not very smooth... but one thing Mz6 "open" when i hit 120-130km/hr and you will see yr car flying.. at 140km/hr with no sweat.. off yr aircon and you will see that.. cornering not smooth but changing lanes in high speed is stable..
PaulQ SG If u happen to monitor MZ2 price over the past few months, u will find that the dealer has not adjusted their price when COE changes. This is like putting up something to sell and thinking they are the best. So invest your money elsewhere as you can get a bigger and better car than MZ2.
Dutch SG Now the question overprice. Due to the fact that M3 is still very new and high in demand, I think the factory still unable to produce enough M3 that is why Mazda Singapore charge a huge premium over the existing orders. M3 (sedan)'s OMV is between 16 to 17k (based on MTA's figures) which is similar to Toyota's Altis. Howver the prices difference is so much. M3 sedan (basic) : $78k (cost price: $66.27k [OMV:17km COE: 27k] profit: 11.73k) Atis : $71k (profit: 5.9k) You see the different of about 6k. Well IMO, the price will drop after the next few shippement and all Mazda factories started to produce in full capacity. The scenerio is very similar to MZ6 when it was 1st launched.
PaulQ SG Agreed to your point. If we can 'tong' long enough, then we should wait for the price to drop. When I ask the sales guy, he always say "now mazda not like last time, we don't adjust price so much. It will never drop in future." What kind of marketing is this ?
edmundchong SG Dear Qoooorange, Maybe u can consider to fix the brouquet after your 5k servicing, it might able to help you to save on your fuel consumption.. Regards, Edmund
tkw88 SG The distributor only has one main workshop at Macpherson. I understand that Mazda has appointed other 3rd party workshops around Singapore. Is the service at these 3rd party workshops good? When I get my Mz3, should I bring my car to Macpherson for servicing and avoid the 3rd party workshops?
forumtsungchian SG Can anyone help me by listing down the pros and cons of mazda3 and civic vti ? (things like engine, brakes, design, price, reliability, resale value, pick up speed...etc) Am looking @ this two model. do not know much to decide. thanks!!
zenmaster SG Went for my 5000km servicing (M3) about a month back at Macpherson. Reached there at 0930 hrs, got my car at 1800 hrs. However, I got the rear spoiler fitted at the same time. As for the 3rd party workshop, my colleague told me the service is okay, at least you don't need to wait so long. Her appointment took 30 mins only. No car wash though. Macpherson gave me a car wash FOC.
tkw88 SG I am worried that the 3rd party workshop may not be equipped to do proper check of electronics etc. SE has mentioned that for major repairs, should go back to Macpherson.
fungi34 SG Hello folks, I am a 2.5-month old MZD3 owner, & have just joinned this forum and boy am I glad to be exposed to this vast info.. Would like to find out from Zenmaster how much did you have to spend on your spoiler?
zenmaster SG Mine is a Mz3 GT, the spoiler was included in the package from my agent. The cost is about $445 (saw the price at the workshop).
fungi34 SG Thanks for the info, I still have another 1200km before my 1st service, so will look through the accessories lis before adding on anything.. has any fellow Mz3 owner here done fog lamp installation?
boon_tl SG nope. but interested to change normal grill to sport grill, don’t know whether is possible or not. any lobang to change flog lamp cover to map my normal grill?
fungi34 SG I just received a fax of Mzd3 accessories price list from my agent.. RR spoiler for sedan cost S$420, how come cheaper from the one Zenmaster has paid? On the price list, I saw the Sporty Grill accessory add-on costs S$408 for Sedan and S$399 for HB, but it is being crossed out, so I figure this is currently not available then. Not sure about any lobang on changing flog lamp cover to map normal grill though.. I guess we gotta wait for a while before the market is more mature for mzd3 in order to see more after market accessories for Mzd3.. most people now only offer accessories for Mzd6 & RX8. http://www.specr.com.sg/ Fog lamp with switch for both Sedan and HB costs S$471 - pricey.. I am interested to change but hafta wait now..
