IMO, Altis's forte lies with their VVTi engine, that's all,
apart from that, Toyota neglected the rest of the criterias, and
messed up the suspensions (weakst link), ride and comfort,
insulation, as well as built quality. It may be the local
'National' car, but the Thai built quality make it even worse,
worse than the previous Japan made one. To start with, the Corolla
/ Altis (previous and this generation), derived from the Ipsum /
Picnic MPV platform (to save cost), that what makes it to inherit
the high roof-line wierd shape (causing too much body roll and the
soft suspension make it worse), uncomfortable upright driving
position, etc... Many people thinks that soft suspension contrbutes
to ride comfort, but the fact is that it will make the ride bouncy
and floaty, and that is definitely not ride comfort
