let me tell u something about joining a gang.. *anything i say here cannot be used against me in the court of law..... i am not sure how the so call "gang"...

Ok, lets say joining gangs and youth fights are commonplace and there is nothing you can do to prevent them from happening because they are an instinct integrated into us the moment we were born.

In the wild, animals demonstrate this behaviour too. Lions usually band together into a pride and a male lion will be the leader of the group. When prides meet, usually there will be competition over prey and both lion leaders would fight, and the victorious will control and take over the loser's pride.

In human society, youths join gangs because it is a time our animal and survival instincts take over, prompting us to seek shelter and protection with a group of fellow beings, a group where one can care for each other and ensure the survival of the species in bands spread out all over the planet. It is in this group or gang that humans feel they must defend their fellows, thus when two gangs meet, it will very frequently result in a gangfight.

Why do youths fight? Why are we more violent when we're young? This is called playfighting. In animal society, young animals, or cubs, especially in lion society, learn to fight at a young age so they may be independent and survive in the wild with or without their parents. When they're born, they are already aware of their surroundings, and as the cubs grow older, they playfight with their brothers or sisters, it is usually violent but not damaging and very few injuries have been documented.

In human society, youths tend to fight because it is this urge to experience the world and to try new ways to survive independantly. It is when our survival instincts kick in and when we prepare to find a mate, breed, and fight against competitors over one's mate. It is also a period when we have teenagers rioting and fighting over small matters because playfighting is a part of Nature, and we are Nature. We should learn to accept gangfights and youth fights as a part of society, however damaging they can become. Only by doing so can we truly remain human and not a species so obsessed with law and order and a vision to create paradise that we even forget our true selves, our purpose on this planet, and in this arm of the galaxy. It is only be doing so that we can remain a part of Nature and not a race so governed by its intelligence that even we forget what we are in the future.

i would say, even late 20s oso fight. fights r everywhere. be it physical, or verbal or whatsoeva.

gang fight is very violent, esp when u r being a human!

r u craving for food so much or r u living in a deserted island like what those lions n tigers do? dun u hv enough water to drink, pple to love n idolize?

show some love n practise compassion!

Children join gangs becoz the people in the gang say that if he/she join, sure very good one! Protect u arh...do this or that for you arh..
Then they fall for it.
But they may also FORCE you to join and you have no choice, coz they all of a sudden pull out knife!

I think your thinking is flawed.

firstly, lioness grouped together not lions. In a group, you will only see one or two male adult lions, never more than 2. And they come in attack, take over the group, kill the cubs and then mate with the lioness. This is to prevent genetic breeding. Meaning cubs with the same relationships as mothers & fathers. In human sense, it will means marrying your niece or nephew. your father's side of the family. This would increase the chance of genetic problem. So nature deal with this, this way.

secondly, lions grouped together cause they need to hunt. One lion or predator faced a huge risk if they were to hunt alone cause they may be injured or even if they are successful, they fear losing their catch to other predators. Bottomline, they need to feed.

Lastly, what seperates human from animals, the thing inbetween your ears. Use it well, you are a human, don't use it, you are a low-life. Simple truth.

Gangs orginates from the olden days when one immigrant coming in to a new place, need to find protection & brotherhood.

Nowsaday, gang formed so that they can play more arcade games, try smoking, get more gals & get into fights.
Totally nonsense & waste of time.

In the past, people would honour code, and fight one-2-one. Nowsdays, it is a safari. 20 vs 5 or worse. I have seen some, and it is like a hunting trip.

And to fight for their place, oh please. Whatever is in Singapore belongs to the authorities. Nothing you do, or spray some numbers will change that. Once the CID decides enough, "red-car" will come. Your gang just evaporates.

And for gals, they are like leeches, they only want company and maybe one who can afford that latest LV bags. Nothing more. shallow. Worse, if you have teen pregancy, then you are forever bound.

So to me, gangs are a thing of the past ,like in some HK movies, they use codes, "Yi-Ji". but in SGP, they are more like hooligans, just like mosquitos, grouping together to create chaos.

So please don't compare Gangs to Lions, the king of animals. It is a downright disgrace.
