The Truth About Gangs

let me tell u something about joining a gang.. *anything i say here cannot be used against me in the court of law..... i am not sure how the so call "gang"...

iceFatboy SG

I forgot a point, about the playfighting.

oh, I have seen a "gang" in being ambushed by another, and now the leader is in a wheel-chair. (big report in new paper about how fillal the leader is, how good he is at home, how the mother doesnt believe the son is a bad boy).

next thing you know, this leader in a wheel-chair with his gang, recognised one of the attackers, and decided to ambush back, now all in Changi.

so what instinct?? It is all becos of FACE.

I bet the animals doesn't know that.

mammals-->primates-->hominids-->humans

we have survived while all of our hominid cousins have died because what they lack we have. we have intelligence, but that does not mean we have no need for instincts. all creatures of this planet are born with instincts. compare other animals with te human race and you'll see many similarities. from all the posts i've read in this topic i have concluded that most of u think of humans as a species that is number 1 on earth because we're meant to be. but the randomness of nature is in our favor, blessed us with intelligence. we may think we are number 1 on this planet, but that is in terms of intelligence only. if we compare our other talents with other animals you'll realize we lack many things. we are not that powerful.

we lack the strength and senses of a predator. (weak sight/smell/hearing)
we lack the stamina as a prey.
we lack the fur or coat that keeps us warm in the cold. (too little hair)
we lack the long canines that almost all predators possess. (blunt canines)
we lack the long claws to slay our prey. (our nails do not end at a point)
we lack the stealth of a hunter. (our feet are not designed to move silently)
we lack a natural defense against every predator on this planet. (no chemical, physical or psychological defences)

the only reason why we consider ourselves number 1 is because we have intelligence above all other creatures and it is this intelligence that allows us to analyse a situation and come up with a solution, unlike animals who rely on instincts alone, though some use their brains. we are one of the weakest species on this planet, yet we now populate almost all parts of the surface because we are able to see reason and form consequences. However, if humans were to be stripped of their intelligence and their technology, we would never have survived in the wild. we would be far too weak to defend ourselves from mass extinction by thousands of predators that hunt us daily...

That the most sorry excuse ever by someone who have no guts to say no joining a gang. First try to blame society, next blame the animals world.

If no guts to say no to joining a gang - go blame yourself. You deserve to be in the gang of trash !

Ito_^ SG

not bad. type so much trash to be flamed.

AshieneZ SG

im not in a gang because no one asked me to join coz i have the willpower to refuse

Ito_^ SG

obviously not, but its nothing to do with willpower.

zenith_89 SG

fighting is perfectly... human....

The 'theories' are unlike what he has said... But if you happens to be in one of the rotten shoes, it won't be hard to understand at all...

coffeeortea SG

wow, anyone in gang here? i wanna spend a night with you because you are so cool, manly, and righteous.

BadzMaro SG

What if its a family tradition ? Gangs were formed to solve domestic and fellow chinese problems. WHen in a foreign land , u can only rely on ur own kind. Slowly it got corrupted and got associated with all the vice activities. But is it thier fault ? We provide jobs.. . There are 2 kinds . The aggresive and the passive kind. Depends which one u are in will determine are u the fighting kaki.. or are u the business kaki.

AshieneZ SG

ask yourself this:

why is the human race divided into countries? is it because there is too many people for one man to control?

why do we have various community groups in our country?

why do we live together as a family and not spread apart?

why do we always feel lonely when we are isolated from our fellows?

why do we need friends and hang out as a group and not alone?

why do we always desire companionship?

It is because it is human/animal instinct to do so. Mr. Green

Try telling yourself all these nonsence next when your kid join a gang, gets into a gang fight, accidentally injured or worst kill someone, get caught by the law and jail ..... come on, this is the modern world we're talking about !!!

You need knowledge to survive, not joining any gangs !!! playfights in the animal world are violent but not damaging thats becos it part of their learning process but gang fights are violent and damaging and sometimes fatal. So what lesson do they learn after gang fights ???? nothing !!!

AshieneZ SG

u know why human gang fights are violent? because our intelligence and ability to understand logic and reason has changed what was once a natural part of us and twisted it into something evil.

MiX Metal SG

I still dun get you ?? ...... maybe its because I'm not intelligent enough ?? Laughing

skyfoo SG

99% of those who join gangs are from normal stream. u know what i mean

countdracula SG

this thread is nonsense to begin with…trying to equate man to animals so as to justify the beastility instinct…..lions group together because they need to do so in the african open plains to hunt and protect themselves. tigers on the other hand are mainly solitary animals as they live in jungles where they are well camouflaged to hunt and be protected. basically, whether animals form groups or otherwise have to do with their environment. just to digress a little, for those still unsure if sang nila utama spotted a lion or tiger, the answer is a tiger because temasek had dense forests.

SBS1985C SG

I never join gang. Gang people act tough only.

gr2012 SG

You are describing us like animals.

We aren't animals dammit!

We have a mind that we can use to think and make responsible descisions.

We don't rely on survival instincts.

If everyone is like you, then wont the gahmen organise gang fights every month or something?

subarugal SG

errrrhhh...
R U trying to say you are hugging blindly ? Laughing
