Price-wise, compared to Singapore, in Australia:
- taxes are higher
- cars and houses are cheaper
- it's more expensive to eat out
- it's cheaper to cook at home
- if you know where to shop, clothes prices aren't all that
different
Overall, ditzy's right - it's about the same, except that owning
your own home and car is probably a more realistic option in
Australia.
In terms of lifestyle, it's a matter of personal taste, I guess.
I've never regretted migrating.
As for meeting up with Singaporeans, I don't make a distinction. It
doesn't matter if they're Aussie or Singaporean - if I like 'em,
I'll hang out with them, and if I don't, tough.
