You know when you ease up on the accelerator, your car slows down?
Signal left, slow to an appropriate speed to pull behind the
taxi... let the faster vehicle by, then signal right, pull right
and speed back up again... That would have taken you, what? 10
seconds? Less maybe?
Never asked you to speed. 
Anyway, don't get angry. I drive on the road everyday too, and I
always practice this - giving way to faster vehicles. I've never
had anyone tailgate me. Just sharing some defensive driving tips,
that's all.
