I also assume that you got beat by the DC2 in Akagi. I think I saw a DC2 get 2.19 before on Akagi. So I think more training is in order. Are you driving an EVO or WRX? I'm not sure if this advice can apply to both but for a WRX, yeah that's correct you can take the last 4 hairpins at 158.

Before entering the 1st hairpin, need to enter at about 165, tap the brake slightly, do a full turn and when you're nearly out of the hairpin, counter steer and do a full turn in the other direction. Do not try and maintain a neutral direction. You must full turn the wheel from 1 end to the other very fast. No need to brake but you will need to pump the accelerator gently unless you can confidently maintain 1/4. You should nicely slide your way through. Same for the next 2.

Oh I recommend training in the rain then playing in dry. You'll find sliding around very easy after wet conditions. Plus you can go challenge in rain. Next time challenge the DC2 in Akagi uphill wet. Heh Heh. Twisted Evil

Edit: This is for the WRX. Please try and adjust accordingly for EVO.

Oh, my timing is about 2.59 to 3.00 min roughly. This is perhaps because i do train akina on dc2 before changing to fd after sick of dc2. Hmm... i think its easier for fd to use the ditches for the 4 hairpins turns as compared to dc2. So make full use of them. I am sure u will improve.

hi,wrx and evo4 can use the same skill to drive in everywhere.as for rx7. sad to said that 4wd cannot win because rx7 pickup is faster than wrx.so if the rx7 timing (2:16) leave them alone.wrx can run (2:16) on akagi,So train hard ,akagi wrx (2:16) evo(2:17);akina (2:52) evo (2:54);hippo wrx (2:20) ev0(2:21); iroz wrx (2:40) evo (2:40). huh??? RX-7 pick up faster than WRX???? am i seeing things wrongly?? its impossible.

A 4WD pick up sure can win a FR car. RX-7 is only twin turbo rotary engine while WRX and EVO had the power of 4 wheel drive. No way RX-7's pick up can win a 4WD.
i can bet my life on it.

yeah. i truely agree on that.. on akagi, rx7s have the stage advantage thing... so even if my evo gets a head start on other stages, i think the rx7 will still get the head start on akagi. and thanks again WRX, i'll train hard on it...i manage to do 151 on the last 4 turns now... .. hopefully i'll get faster...those dc2 dudes are kicking my ass here man.... lol.. Heh, WRX cat. you must be very good in using the GC8V.

i also have a GC8V but only 200 000 points. i know that this car can run Akina fastest around 2:51. cos i seen it before.

what is your timing for Akina with Akina??? i need someone to train me with this car.

hey guys, i’ve made it! i’ve successfully managed doing the last 4 turns in akagi with the 5th gear.. did it at 150+.... but i dunno why but my timing seems to get slower and slower…... is it because of me being too cautious about hitting the walls? yeah, btw.. is it possible to make the first turn in akiagi at 140+ ? cause my max was like 130 – 136 max…. i kept hitting the wall…. how should i turn it?

you talking about GC8V??
the very first corner max can turn is 137-138 i think. its normal. only FD can do 139-140. think the fastest timing for GC8V at akagi downhill should be around 2:17 like that right??

I think you mean Akagi right? If 2'23 for Akina, the top players in Japan and Hong Hong will call you master already. Razz

Evo IV is a good car. Irohazaka 2'46 ummm... try aim for below 2'45. Taking inner line and try not to bang too much will be able to do that. My newly brought Evo IV (300k point tune) is hitting 2'45 for Irohazaka.

Just a estimate rough gauge of timing for Evo IV to do well especially to ensure %50 chances of winning in battles.

Akagi DownHill: 2'19 - 2'20
Akina DownHill: 2'58 -2'59
Happo Outbound: 2'22 - 2'24
Irohazaka DownHill: 2'44 - 2'45

I'm still trying hard myself to get decent timings and full tuning my new Evo IV so lets work hard together and show the others that LanEvos is not a car to trive with. LOL... No offence to other car owners. Smile

lol..no WRX, i meant the EVO IV. well... that made me feel better, 138 max on the first turn. so me doing 136 max should be pretty alrite right? thanks lonely, i guess i'm not that far from being a fast EVO driver Very Happy yeah, btw, need an opinion here.... do you think my evo should have a option B rear spoiler on it or the D rear spoiler ? till now... i just can't make up my mind... Confused and i got ya there yo. Evo shouldn't be trived with, on the real tracks or in the game. unless we're being challenged by cars of the same class like RX7, Subaru and etc... you know you fast drivers out there Wink

hey guys. problem came up for akina....i noticed that i'm really slow in akina.... dunno why....i think my timing's 2:58 ? not sure about that but i know i suck in akina..... any hints on how i could drive better and is it possible to beat a dc2 in akina when they are so darn fast on turns? Confused

To get good timings for Akina, linings(shortest path) is the important factor. Gutters helps also.

To beat a DC2 in Akina, all I have to say is there's only 50% chances of winning. The winning 50% comes from the pickup. For sure you will be in the lead from the starting point. Once in the lead, the next thing to do is to take the inner line of all the corners to block the DC2's path as DC2 turns faster than any other car. (Meaning block as much as you can)

As for the losing 50%... once the opponent DC2 overtakes you, that's it. Game Over.... unless you opponent is noob to that map and the keeps on banging on the walls.

Thanks Lonely. i needed that advice. yeah btw.. i thought of getting a new Evo IV… hooking it up right from the start. thought of starting from tune A to get the fast acceleration, then switch to tune B to get the fast acceleration. i intend to change the rims to the 6 spoke enkei rims, Bozz Speed rear spoiler, and Bozz Speed dual muffler. You think that’s the right way to tune it? i dunno about you guys.. but i always think that EVO IV can be faster than the RX7. i’ve been doing some research… so i thought by tuning it this way, my EVO IV would be really fast.. with speed and acceleration. i’ve looked into the previous post by Dark_Conviction,( my bad if i spell it wrong ) and i think those replaced parts would make up for the disadvantages of the tunes.so you guys out there, give me your opinion on that alright? peace.

if u can turn with this speed u are very good.ofcouse u must not hit the wall.otherwise I also can make the speed to 160km for the turn but hitting the wall.GC8V can run akagi 2:14,but i only can run 2:16. Laughing
