Does anyone have a guide for the accessories that one normally get for a new car? Eg. normal stuff like car mats, covers etc...

Just ordered a NS (after facelift), which would be coming by early Nov!

I just thot it will be nice to hav a list, in case i left anything out, or if there's something i forgot to consider!

Get a good arlam system, if you treasure your new babe.

1) a good set of alarm system
2) air ionser - can consider neotec (not necessary till the new car smell gone)
3) trade in ur lousy stock tire to a good griping kind-at any tire shop. unless ur stock ones are good. depends u wan comfort vs performance.
4) a good set of blubs (yellow very bright-philips vision plus,white-depends)
5) a good horn - cos the new and stock ones are hopelessly soft to ear

Forgot to ask. Are you an Ah.Lian, or is your boyfriend/fiancee/husband an Ah.Beng? If yes to either or both, then you need to get:

1. luminous pedals.
2. fierce decals (a must to increase horsepower).
3. cutesy dolls for the dash and rear of your car.
4. any and every stick on/bolt on decor like:
i. huge boot spoilers, more style points to you if its a GT wing.
ii. unmatching front, rear and side spoilers
iii. anything with a carbonfibre look.. anything at all.
iv. stick on fake air ram for fender and bonnet.
5. Twenty amplifiers and thirty speakers to blast dance music.
6. etc...

Is the alarm system that comes with the car good enuff?? N does anyone know anything abt something called "rough coat"??

The dealer tried to get me to install it.. said to prevent the sides n floor of the car from "qi mao"... Cost $388, n i rejected it cos din know wat actually it was for.

Also, is it necessary to place those mats that trap dust n dirts both in front n at the back of the car? Which type is recommended ah?

Last but not least, is it a good idea to stick those heat/glare reducing things onto the windows??

No worries, me also 1st time owner, my car is coming soon too.

I think all those modification are not needed at 1st. U just get those necessary accessories enough liao.

Then when u drive for a few day or so or even few weeks, u start to realise wat u need and if got spare cash, will get more things.

seat-belt pads, like what i put on my sch bag's straps Twisted Evil but don't copy me buy RalliArt ones, cos you should get Nismo for your Nissan Mr. Green

get a good chamois (i think it's spelt this way) cloth which absorbs a lot of water...

this is when you're washing your car... and you will... this cloth effectively dries the car without streaks.. the streaks will leave watermarks on your paintjob which is permanent...

armor-all for all plastic/vinyl surfaces to keep it from drying up and cracking (never use it on steering wheel!)

maybe a dustbuster in the house to clean the interior of the car

Normal Alarm are good enough for Singapore. When you want to travel to Malaysia, you need to add on to a better one.

"Rough coat"...How long you intend to keep the car(b honest). Chances are

Heat/Glare things on the Windows, those stickers(Mickey Mouse type) for decoration okay. But if driving to Malaysia better have a coat to prevent the galring sun. No good for the car and yr complexion as well.
