I facepalmed when the papers called it 'Singapore's own Central Park'.

My point is, culture and identity is not something that you can manufacture overnight. Whether or not that park is going to be an integral part of the Singaporean identity is not something you can proclaim on opening day.

anyway, there's an amazing Rugby League game on now.. the decider in the State of Origin.. it's a tied game now.. and what an amazing game!

I used to think underwater world was expensive.

I still think it is.

But when I saw what would set me back to see what's inside this and that at the garden, it puts things in perspective, the wrong way.

Oh by the way.

$5 to go up the bridge.

And yes. I paid that. Because I dont think I'll be back in a jiffy.

I agree with that, and the Botanical Gardens suits that title better. Gardens by the Bay is probably closer in concept to the Eden Project in Cornwall.
