pm..is it needs to be a seat warmer for his son to succeed like the
way old fart did for Pinky. The problem is..if the next pm is
popular etc and capable it will derail his plans. Do not forget his
son is not an MP etc..not in politics yet. So it takes some time
for his son to be groomed. That means the earliest his son can be
an MP is the next Erection..not to far away. Pinky is out of time
for his son to step in. N pinky most like have to be an SM n in
cabinet 2 erections from now. The next point is if the next pm is
weak and ineffective n the team don't support him effectively.
Means there is no capable minister to hold the fort...the weak pm
will crop all the blame etc. Look at the existing minister..which
one is capable and can support a weak PM? The only name I can put
forward is Tartman...but to prevent being upstaged.. tartman will
most likely step down in the next or following erection. Because a
capable minister will overthrow the weak pm...making Pinky's
succession plan for his son in turmoil. So actually pinky is caught
between a rock n a hard place. His son is not even in the system to
be pm...a weak seat warmer might lead to a collapsed in gahmen...n
a strong pm will overthrow the Lee's..so that is why till now there
is no designated successor. Unlike when Pinky 1st went into
parleement. Within a few years..it's so obvious wooden was the seat
warmer n pinky would be pm. Now with pinky close to retirement no
sight n no sound of the successor. N pinky is incompetent..so it's
up to the people to derail this Lee dynasty garbage...but I doubt
the 70% will do the better thing. Pap will destabilise n with no
capable opposition. Singkieland will sink because of the political
vacuum."

discussion beyond the domestic impact of the next PM - either way
between CCS and HSK, it is likely we will also be regionally tested
- eg fodder for upcoming Malaysia elections by Aug 2018 and
Indonesia elections in 2019 (plus the pivot towards populism) -
these two remain and will always be the main immediate external
concerns. And if the forum is full of eyes picking up whatever bits
of info on what is potentially going on it is not too difficult to
work out how weak a leader maybe and the kind of leaders he is
leading. Who would take you seriously? Especially if he is merely
the seatwarmer designate for the rumoured real dynastic successor?
If the President is any reflection of how poorly supportive of the
idea people can be then the next leader will also have to deal with
the millenialls becoming electors and engage with that segment too
(regardless of the 800k new voter block we have read on these
pages) - will also have to deal with an emboldened Indian, Chinese
and Pinoy FTs who would ask for a more "representative" Parliament
as there are no new citizens in such leaderhip roles (the
traditional Malaysian converts do not count). Internally, if indeed
there is a split, then if the man you back does not get in you've
already showed your hand to your new boss - can't take cover behind
your old boss because he will be out and relegated to Emeritus
title but technically no longer involved in machinations of state
matters. Interesting 6-9-12 months ahead. "
