server maintenance today, but not sure if it will be down at 7pm or 9pm.

from last week onwards it was alternate weeks maintenance and we had no maintenance last week.

Yesterday's Kara was funny
We breezed through the first 3 bosses, all 1 shotted,Midnight (can't remember boss name but I remember his horse), Moroes and Maiden

Then we went on to the stage not knowing what to expect Laughing

Bloody stagehands hit harder then the stewards Crying or Very sad and wiped on first try

Then we got careless and wiped again
Then not knowing what to expect we started the event
And was like oh so cute... hide in a corner but event started and we wiped so quickly

Was the Wizard of Oz Laughing
We wiped on 2nd try and called it coz we only planned on killing 2 bosses last night. Didn't think we could down Maiden. So we were totally unprepared ...not read up yet. Haha

good luck for wizard of oz, the opera event drops a very nice pair of caster pants. too bad my group has not seen it drop yet. come to think of it, i’ve been having pretty crappy luck with loot lately :/

We downed them on 4th try Embarassed And the nice pair of caster pants dropped and I won the roll Mr. Green v

First 3 tries were super messy Laughing and we did change the strategy. Yesterday we had:

2 warriors
2 priests (1 holy, 1 shadow)
2 Pallies
2 mages (1 Arcane/Fire, 1 Arcane/Frost)
1 rogue
1 hunter

Main tank tanked Roar, Strawman and Tito. Roar was just to build aggro while hunter and 2 priests took turns to keep him feared.

Firemage stunned strawman periodically with fire spells.

Off-tank kited Tinman while I dotted him up with Frost till he Rust and continued kiting Tinman whlie I went back to Dpsing

Basically we quickly downed Dorotee, followed by Tito, Roar, Strawman and Tinman last.

The crone fight was a bit messy coz we were expecting to wipe and not survive Laughing

Half the raid died when Crone was like 40%. Only people standing were 2 priests, me, main tank and 1 pally. But we downed her anyway Embarassed

Anyway it was totally fun. Going to Curator tonight Mr. Green

Curator is a huge step in terms of difficulty, but at least it's manageable if your dps is capable. be prepared to flask ^^

my grp had romeo and juliet this week and still no pants drop. Curator also didnt drop my class gloves. aran sucks as usual, trying him again tonight :/ hope that my group can have a shot at prince this week.

Nay today we are just trying out Curator
Won't be bringing flask.
It is to make sure everyone is familiar with roles
Considering our group is all first-timers in Kara
I think we are doing ok so far Smile

Yesterday we had the pants drop and that healer wand

curator is a straightforward fight though. 1 tank on curator himself, the rest of dps kill adds asap and only dps curator during his evocation after killing all adds. if got 2 or more adds out at the same time=not enough raid dps=wipe.

Ok we downed Curator last night without any flasks Mr. Green
Tank died on the last 5% though and all hell broke loose
I thought I would die too coz curator ran towards me but he died at my feet Laughing
Was dumping all the instant spells and used my POM ><

Will be doing Aran (?) tonight
Wonder how will it go.

personally i've not downed him yet, but i'm co-leading the 2nd kara group and so i don't have much solid melee dps available. key to killing aran is melee dps. the best i can muster up is 10%. the main raid group has killed prince though and are trying for nightbane. sibeh sian.

My guild in Stormscale - Horde is looking for Mages who wans to raid regularly. Usually raid days are Mondays 9pm, Thursday 8pm, Sunday 1pm.

We have pple from everywhere, hong kong, australiam, philippines, singapore, malaysia, etc.

Guild is small and intends to be small. we currently have 2 kara raids and is building the 3rd raid. The guildies are all v nice people (surprise surprise) and very friendly. It doesn't matter if you are gay, muslim, straight, ugly, pretty, boy or gal. All are treated the same.

I must say this is the best guild I've been in (been in 3 guilds before) and these bunch of folks r the nicest ever.

If you are looking for a guild that have fun, progresses seriously and are mad over vent, this is da place.

We only got him down to the water elementals then we wiped ><
You managed to keep his hp lower than his mana by about 5%

Yes. We had our MT in dps gear, a rogue and the off-tank warrior was doing higher dps then the rogue Laughing and a feral druid.

Not trying tonight. Need a break ><

got aran to 10% was my group's best attempt so far, but admittingly we didnt try him every week cause i not able to consistently get a full 2nd group running. the main kara group seems to be comfortable with the fight already though, sian.

i'm pretty sure u need at least a warlock to lock down 2 of the elementals via fear and banish. it seems impossible otherwise. 2 locks will make the adds alot easier. 5 sunders and a curse of recklessness supposedly get aran's armour down to zero so try that if you haven't already. an enhancement shaman will work wonders for your melee dps here also, u horde should have no problem finding 1 i guess.

We didn't have a lock last night coz none on (Actually there is a lock but due to certain reasons none of the officers and raid leaders want to take him to Kara)

my guild has tried curator last sunday. and will be trying him tomorrow if time permits. *crossing fingers* hope we get him down this time Smile

Tonight our Kara reset so it's back from the start!

The problem we have now is people who left the guild coz we stopped raiding before Burning Crusade are bugging us to take them back
