It actually easy to make progress in a manual car. The hard part is clutch control to make your upshifts smooth. Especially when my mom has motion sickness, smoothness is paramount. And thus I'm always concentrating hard on my upshifts. STRESS.

Manual cars got their pros and cons...

Feel the kick is one thing but I'm sure you are not going to like traffic jams, crawling traffic during peak hours, slopes and conjested multi-storey carparks. You feet will need some massage afterwards.

Not sure, I think it'll help to an extent definitely. Cross bracing at the front subframe might help even more, albeit at a high price.

But no worries la, in normal driving it won't show. Only when you are cornering enthusiastically.

Cross brace can, but ride comfort will be severely affected..

I think with 150bhp, you will be having too much fun zipping around to worry about FC! Haha..

If you are young and can still manage the reflexes, it's perfectly ok. If cannot, then it's time to give the left foot a rest.

Not to mention a lot of new car models nowadays don't come with manual..

True...Popular cars like Toyota Corolla Altis, Nissan Latio and Mazda 3 dun come with manual transmission.

Initially, I also possess the passion to drive manual cars, but ever since my family car changed to auto type, they dun want to change back to manual. It suddenly feels so inconvenient... LOL....

So sad. If my mom is not on board the car, I actually prefer manual. You feel more intimate with your car when you are rolling through the 'box. When everything is done for you, the feeling is so detached.

I think the only way to sample a premium car with manual gearbox is to go Europe. Mercs, BMWs, Audis etc are still mostly specced with manuals.

Fortunately manuals stuck at 6-speeds maximum. Imagine if Merc came out with a new manual gearbox called "7G-MANUAL". You'd better train your legs first before attempting your first drive in it.

Haha...

That's when Cruise Control comes in handy.

Auto Manual: Cannot Adapt. U are stuck at auto. Lazy to switch back.
