Like tat say one ya ? Is fighting for equality simply because of jealousy ? Then in the past women shouldn't fight for equal right with men, or the negroes in america shouldn't fight for equal right with the causacian and they do it because they r just jealous. R all these examples of struggle to achieve equality all r simply due to jealousy ? People strive to achieve equality and no people should be discriminated or unfairly treated because of lame reasons. Nobody should make life harder for another party just because of irrelevant reasons.

This is where I have to disagree.

Women had to fight for equal rights because they were truly discriminated. No suffrage till the 20th century, social and cultural discrimination.

But are gays discriminated here? Are they boycotted? Are they beaten up? Are they denied constitutional rights?

Dont make it sound like you guys are so noble trying to fight for gay equality. Are you even a gay yourself?

Penal code 377A is an unfair law because when 2 persons doing the same thing privately, for gays, it is an offence but for oppositive sex, it is ok.

People against the repeal of 377A becase of their religional belief so they used whatevere reasons to justify it, that is understanable because they can't go against their religional teaching, however,is this group of people a majority or is more powerful, I don't know because nobody carried out a national poll.

I don't like the gay life style and I don't think gay want to influence the straight. Anyway, most men like me like to see the pretty girls , that can not be changed till the day we are laid inside the coffin. But if gay want to have some fun among themself PRIVATELY, then leave them alone. It won't hurt anybody ...

We always talk about all men born to be equal, but for this gay debate in singapore.....where is the fairness?

If I'm not wrong,377A is not about sodomy.It is about soliciting for gey sex.

I 100% support fairness.Is sodomy right?It is not right.But geys still want the wrong act.Strange,isn't it?As i said before,u can take it as the govt care more for the health of geys because many of them are pormiscuous -- unlike married men.The govt doesn't want them to get AIDS.So the govt is so good,they still want to complain.That's why the job of the govt is very difficult.The attitude of geys is strange & inmature.
