AndrewPKYap SG Originally posted by hloc: Like you say earlier..... you have no intention to run for office. But I agree with you lah..... SAFER to be a ARM CHAIR Critic. Yawn..... but sadly..... tomorr will still be the same. You agree with me that it is SAFER to be a ARM CHAIR Critic? No wonder people ask you to shut up for your stupidity... show me where I said that it is SAFER to be a ARM CHAIR Critic?

No intention to run for office..... but sit around and make noise. Still waiting for you to lead a protest or start a movement....
AndrewPKYap SG You are clueless why it is stupid to say "I agree with you" when someone did not say it, don't you?
hloc SG Me No lah..... everyone here have a right to air his/her view. Skin not thick..... how to survive in SG Forums ''Speaker's Corner"
dbowie SG MOE enforced the Teach less, Learn more , so that students can think more.. Social Studies is all about thinking, mind you . I'll have to say the improving technology such as XBOX,Playstation,Computer is the negative influences that addresses and compounded student's mindset.. 10 years back you don't even see these .. Why do we need more students to think ? To build think tank ? Just my two cents.
AndrewPKYap SG Originally posted by hloc: Because I thought you understand my sarcastic remark..... My bad AFTER people point out your stupidity, you try to save face. Save it lah... learn from your mistakes. You cannot say "I agree with you" when that "you" did not say it. Otherwise, I can say "I agree with you that you are an idiot" and according you your "logic" I am right.
AndrewPKYap SG Because the difference between man and animal is the ability to think and therefore, the primary aim of education is to teach people to think properly/skillfully but the government cannot do that when their objective is to have a people that will swallow hook line and sinker their propaganda.
DailyFreeGames.com SG Originally posted by hloc: Like I said earier...... let AndrewPKYap run and get elected, then all our children can hope that he/she is able to keep the promise lor How to get elected when the PAP divide the country into so many segments, despite the fact that singapore is such a small country... even got elected also only got to rule 1 small neighbourhood, but i think when opposition starts to become a threat, then PAP will divide the neighbourhood into smaller Blks so that whoever gets elected can rule that Blk of families... Besides, PAP controls the money lor, so they got a treasure chest to fight for the election while opposition had to fight with their limited budgets, somemore win also got a small portion of the neighbourhood, thanks to how PAP play the political game, divide and divide, singapore so small still divide.
maurizio13 SG Another way to ensure control of the electorate is to increase the number of MPs. The number of MPs in our parliament has doubled since the 1960s. With a low MP representation of say 40 seats, opposition needs to win 20 seats in order to form some sort of coalition government. With a high MP representation of 84 seats, you would need at least 42 seats to form a credible opposition.
charleslee SG well, do u know that coalition govts r quite ineffective in approving policies , this time lag can cause considerable damage to the society at large if these policies dun go thru' , if the different parties argue over and over again at the same policy, i can tell u nothing will be done . i would like to ask how are we able to get 84 seats in the government when singapore is very small, dun tell me that each party control one whole cluster of HDB so that we can get 84 seats?
patdog112 SG taiwan , japan , korea , hk and main asia countries work the same way... singapore education system already quite good already.. the only thing i dont like is the NA stream choice... NT or express might be enough already.. spending up 5 years is really a waste in singapore.. last but not least at least even ur N/O lvl result not good u wun be resorted to work at the age of 17/18..
bangkokboy SG So what are you going to do with armchair critics? Start a campaign to shoot them down? Or criticise them behind the comfort of your armchair? I hope you do realise the foolishness of your ironic statements. First you criticise people for airing their views, next you mention that everyone here have a right to air their views. You are not thick skin my friend, but you need to further question yourself what are you actually trying to tell us.
bangkokboy SG Care to comment on my point of view hloc? Or am I just another world destroying ''armchair leader"?

And I didn't criticise people for airing their views..... I state that compare to some other Youth in other parts of the World, S'porean Youth is not having it BAD. And then ask those who disagree to show me they could do better by getting elected themselve. The problem is with Arm Chair critics speaking as if they could solve the problem. They are giving people false hope... thats all. Unless they are willing to stand up and lead....... what will change Show me with action please. We already have enough broken promises from the GOVT. Everytime I write here, it is to express my Views. In this case, I don't believe that the youth of S'pore is having it BAD..... But ppl here decided to make me a Pro-PAP example..... If they think they could change S'pore, then lead the way. If not...... then after all is said here, tomorr the GST, CPF, who govern.... etc... will still be the same. Express your views by all means.
mistyblue SG There are good things and bad things going for everyone in this society. Don't keep thinking that you have a bad deal.
