I'm beginning to detect a trend in this kind of threads where
people complain that NS has ruined their lives, they can't cope,
stuff like that...
Most of the people here just go "thousands of young men have gone
through it, they've had it much worse, be thankful you have a slack
vocation, blah blah"
So if i'm a combatant, it's okay for me to say that the army
sucks?
All your freedom taken from you at the age of 18...some people just
can't adapt. And those that do, usually end up numb, or jaded. Like
me.
I signed up because i thought the army was the last workplace on
Earth that "politics" existed, and boy was i wrong. Some people
will sacrifice friends just to climb to the next higher rank. Some
are so God damned LOBO, i don't know how they managed to climb so
high.
Brotherhood? Camaraderie? Esprit-de-corps? In times of war, maybe.
Peacetime?
Who gives a damn?
Make no mistake, i love this job. It's some of the people in the
organization that really f*ck it up for the rest of us.
How not to be numb?
