Man U to buy Michael Carrick

yah. but i find spurs asking price of 15 millions pounds too steep.

dragg SG

i agree.

he is not aggressive enough.

iceFatboy SG

yes, he doesn't mop up like a makele.
I think MUFC needs someone who strikes fear like a keano.

unfortunaely, the supply chain has dried up and whatever good out there is snapped up with oil money...

lpx88 SG

haiz..if only Edgar davids is still in his heyday...

suckthumb.com SG

and oil money doesn't get thrown ard Laughing

T.Ryousuke SG

Now big name normally go for money, if got the choice they might not want to work with SAF. Mostly go for Chelsea or Arsenal.

Man U is a team on the down…. Carrick should know better than to join a sinking ship..

zocoss SG

What you said sounds ridiculous... Spurs is a worse team compare to Man U! Spurs has never even finish top 3 for the last decade and never even played in the CL... If Carrick get a chance to go to man u, he will probably ask for a transfer!

dragg SG

i think it is more appropriate to say spurs is going up than man u is going down.

zocoss SG

I don't think its even an appropriate thing to say... Spurs will still be below man u come next year! Just b'cos they came in 5th this year doesn't mean they can do better next year, for all you know they can alway go down to 8th place with newcastle & bolton doing better.

Agenda SG

so smith and rooney become surplus already?

poor smith.. he could have been a great player for pool.. damn that houllier!

zocoss SG

Seems like man u have made a second bid for carrick and spurs are keeping quiet… still not keen to sell and preparing a new improve contract for him. They even go as far to demand he show loyalty to them just b’cos they let him play and give Edgar davies place to him. Hmmm…

iceFatboy SG

MUFC going down??
only the great spending chelsea is above.
the rest are all below..

dragg SG

smith made a serious mistake joining man u.

he could have been a first team player at other clubs.

iceFatboy SG

why spend 14M on Carrick and Spurs buy another for 6M.

why don't we spend 6M on Zroba and save 6M for another?

zocoss SG

Who is spurs buying for $6M? never heard of Zroba, where is he playing for currently?

Carrick is an english player and still very young so maybe cost more... cos in a few yrs time, maybe very soon FiFa may allow only 5 foreign players in a team so as to give young players a chance to develop.

Anyway carrick is a good player what, he is the reason spurs are moving up, thats is why they don't want to sell.

K800i SG

Why will Carrick be interested such a “wonderful” club call Man utd ? He is better off staying at Tottenham. Like some of them has said , Man utd was once upon a time a big club , they are going down. They may be big in Quantity (Stadium) but their quality is dropping. I hope the likes of Ronaldo and Rooney will move out of that club. Their talent are being wasted at Old Trafford. Very very wasted.

zocoss SG

Haha... you speak like spurs is bigger than Man u... the guy has been playing for spurs for sometime alrdy and still nobody talk about him... just mention him name with man u and now people notice him and start talking about him too.

That is what man u is all about, A Bigger club not just in name or staduim only but in support too.

Agenda SG

Uh guys, Please don't pull FM or CM potential stars in because most of the time they suck irl

*coughcissecough*

Smith could have come to Liverpool to play 1st team football and not be hated by Leeds fans but he rejected the liverpool contract and went to manu to ruin his carerr and lose the love he received from leeds fans

Why sign so many midfielders when the strikeforce is not consistant?

Its like have 1 player for every position but having 20 Gks fighting for 1 spot

And SAF must be losing it, Playing smith and rooney as midfielders and wingers..

At least Chelsea ruin player's career while paying them 80k per week but manu ruin their career while paying them peanuts

Agenda SG

spurs whole team age averaged a 22 while manu is a 29.. eventually the fergie babes are gonna be ousted by newer and younger players from other clubs and snapping up english youngsters will no longer be a 1m or 2m thing.. it would be more like a auction with minimum bid of 10m

judging by how things look, manu will never be able to outbid chelsea anymore and their youth academy don't seemed to be producing any more world class players

Esp with the financial state manu is in right now, richest they are.. heaviest in debt they are 2nd. as football progress, more clubs in the future will have 80k stadium while manu will be left with their old toilet

dragg SG

you seem to criticise every team except your liverpool.

why dont you do that in your own forum?
