Assuming you already know how to use the pen tool and create an
outline of something -
- Open picture in photoshop
- Duplicate the layer
- In the duplicated layer/picture, outline whatever you
want to keep in colour using the pen tool
-When you are finished, right click in the area and 'make
selection'
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + I to inverse it, and then press delete -
this will delete everything except what you have outlined
-Select original layer, play around with it as much as you want,
then go IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>DESATURATE
That should work if you play around with it
