I don't know, but I have a funny feeling that, somehow, PTC is biased against SBS Transit, so that stupid "2 own, 1 rival" rule doesn't seem to apply to SMRT. Look at routes such as 853, 854, 855, 857, 966, 61, 67, etc... and so on. They clearly violate that rule, and yet they are still allowed to run!

It's just my feeling, but...

I would suggest merging Svc 119 with Svc 113. Through this, there would be no loss of connections.

Like that can boost Svc 62 ridership, which sometimes be quite bad with the <5 mins frequency

Most of the 85* route numbers were introduced in the '80s when then-Tibs were given complete control of the YIS sector (save for 171). As for 61, 67 & northwest routes, these were handed over from SBS over the years from '95 to '99.

For 116 , no problem parking at CCK Int coz of 1 empty berth (ex 989's berth) , Pasir Ris i think there shouldn't be a problem as well. For 84 , Can use the berth's next to 106 or 941.

Which one do you think is the best & SBST would likely introduce?

Neither. There is a reason why it's Woodlands and not Bukit Batok. One, SBST earns extra $$$ because of weekend goers to Johore Bahru. Two, rememeber Causeway Point? Smile You'll be able to think of more reasons.

It's not biased,Judging from bus fleets SBST win marginally over SMRT buses so just few SMRT services plies more SBST areas indirectly to "Help" SBST loads

SMRT may lack buses, but SMRT's rail network is stronger than SBST... (SMRT will even be stronger when the Circle Line opens...)

There wasnt such rules when 854 was launched at that time yet. If you want to compare , take 966 instead , what i think is that 966 should be under SBST coz it serves SBST's territory like Toa Payoh & Eunos

True... In the past, 17 was introduced and it overlapped with 227... Later, 227 was withdrawn. Then 38 is introduced to replace 220 and 290, 60 is introduced to replace 226 and 385, and 63 is extended to replace 382, etc etc...

131 makes a big round of Tk Blangah because it inherited that stretch from 125 during the 1993 rationalisation.

Another similar case would be 143 in Teban/Pandan Gdns area.
