SBST introduces another 3 new services!

It’s sickening, this thread is not about the press releases. It’s discussing the role of SMRT!

iamgoondu SG

In conjunction with the Army Half Marathon 2005, NR 1, 2 , 5 , 6, 7 & 8 will be end early on 11 September 2005. Please click here for details

You must thank SMRT for instead of projecting a professional image for their website, they rather save monies on it.

Spotted the grammatical mistake?

Just wait patiently, SBST need to survey on the new services to find out passenger demand, if there's high loading and no height restriction, SBST will definately deploy double deckers if feasible.

For example, service 88 started off as PAC with a full single-deckers fleet. After a few months, it was converted to FAC and double deckers were then deployed after surveying the demand.

Service 985 too.

FFw 174e in the PM peak exit via this slip road to get to Jln Jurong Kechil (if the BC choose to ply PIE).

tranquilice SG

Only FFw BCs are allowed to do so. Normal route BCs have to ply the original routes regardless it's express sector or not, but if they have to make a detour, they have to communicate with their company and get permission.

Is the Lance a PA Tekong bus?

Da Vo3x 2 looks as if its hiding behind the tree....so shy Laughing

SBS9818A SG

Yes indeed, remember the period of time when Sv. 88 used NAC N113CRBs and one day, the VO3X appeared out of nowhere.

so this sun soon lee bus park/bt batok depot (for svc 52), hougang depot (for svc 43) & ang mo kio depot (for svcs 52 & 59) & maybe bedok north depot (for svc 43/59) will be having bus deployment changes. So let’s wait & see wat happens.

SBS9818A SG

Sv. 52 will be a SLBP service since it falls under the purview of Jurong East Route Group.

all these flexible routing issue.. i always see 174M using farrer rd as usual.. maybe these fast forwards services can be considered "fast" if they overtake at least 2 of the parent route buses.

So far, the only refular and flexible routing i experienced is non other than sv170..

also, if a bus strays off its designated route and say mets with an accident, who is going to be responsible? insurance company can refuse to pay also..

sbst275 SG

Even overloaded buses, insurance co not going to pay... That's why die die SBS never admit there are regular overloading trips

tanjun SG

Hope that the first few days of operation of these new services, their frequency can be better. I remember the time when service 58 is just introduced a few days before my ride, I have to wait for nearly 20 plus minutes for the bus.

Then how do you explain Svc 506? THis one is under BBDEP's responsibility.

28_29_293 SG

svc 52 might be under bt batok OR soon lee & ang mo kio

lemon1974 SG

DM 3500 (2754-2757 and 2763-2770) appear on SV 88 first, before being replaced by VO3X (9613-9620 + the rest)

phillipC SG

So is service 160. under BB Depot.

iveco SG

160 has to be from BBDEP because JB buses are managed there.
