well some services may not be unprofitable but there have to be available to fulfil some social needs... like for e.g. certain new towns like Punggol have Svc 84 as a temporary measure as well as to fulfil certain social obligations. Similarly, Svc 11 is meant for such purpose.

Service 11: In my opinion, it’s useless. If possible, maybe it should serve Beach Road and Marina Centre, and back again. After all, you guys have complained that it’s under served. Maybe Service 11 is the solution, but SBST is too short-sighted to see it.

I guess the svc 11 is better off operating as it is now. It is the only bus service that plies direct from Kallang MRT station into Kallang Park. The other bus services passing through are svc 16 and svc 608. For service 16, the nearest MRT station is City Hall while for svc 608 is either Bedok or Raffles Place. Bus stops along Nicoll Highway and Mountbatten Rd I believe are more than 500 metres away from Leisure Park (for example).

But demand isn't high on weekdays, operating on weekends only is a better choice in my opinion.

Service 20 withdrawal is not that bad because only St. George's Rd and St. Wilfred Rd have no more bus service. Service M3 was one of the worst, no more bus service in the Bedok private estate after it got withdrawn.

If sv11 is so useless tt some of you guys recommended it be scrapped think again, SBST recently put up a notice to say that they are increasing the frequency of sv11 coz of Singapore Open at SIS for las Friday & Sunday! So sv11 is a niche svc serving a particular segment of the mkt…

This is because service 11 cannot operates when the roads are closed for NDP.

My grandmother lives at Marine Parade, and she said that service 36 is the only bus that brings her to downtown to shop. Ask her to take MRT? No, it is a waste of time. BTW, she aways complains that during the peak hours, the bus was almost full and she must wait for the next one. So, better not divert the route towards Orchard road

What makes you think that it should withdrawn when the CCL stage 1 commence operations?There are still some regular paxs whom still board this service even during off-peak hours.Every Rail lines there must be some bus services to back it up.
