Yes, service 36 indeed ply Marina Centre twice, it ply Temasek Blvd, Raffles Blvd and Raffles Ave towards Orchard, and ply Temasek Blvd and Temasek Ave towards Changi Airport.

One is towards Tomlinson Road, the other is towards Changi Airport.

However for former service 8, in the direction towards "Marina Centre via Shenton Way", it passes Marina Centre twice.

It's just naming convention, if the loop point was Shenton Way, then Marina Square would only be passed by once in each direction.

It's just a simple Bedok - Shenton Way, but SBS decided to call it Bedok - Marina Centre.

Is there a change in route? In the past replies, you mentioned that this service at first plied Bedok - Shenton Way via Marina Centre, but later became Bedok - Marina Centre via Shenton Way.

From Changi/Nicoll Highway to ECP, but I am not sure whether the desto change was made at the same time.

Did service 8 exited ECP at Rochor Rd (like service 36) or at Keppel Rd (like service 30)?

I believed it was at Rochor Road, but somehow inclined to believe that Keppel Road was a possible exit - which would alleviate passing by Marina Centre twice.

Until someone checks the bus guides at NLB, we would not know for sure.

Agreed, it's better to confirm than to keep guessing. However the last time I went to NRL in Dec 03, I couldn't find all the 1980s guides.

I remember reading somewhere that some reference books will be distributed to other libraries (Are there branch libraries with reference sections? I'm not aware of any, actually.) while mostly will be stored in a warehouse till the new Library is ready.
