I think Rafa did a great job thus far

Over the years, Rafa has done a decent job. He got Liverpool into 2 Champions League finals, won 1, and also had 1 FA cup and multiple top 4 finishes. But u...

I remind fans that it's Benitez that plotted the win at Istanbul at 2005 .

At 3-0 down , given to any mgr , they will not bring the best out of Gerrard .

Not every Manager in the world can deliver the trophy in UCL .

Even the legendary Ferguson has got only 2 Medals in his 20 over years at Man Utd .

Jose Mourinho has tried for a number of years before he won it for Porto .

And Arsene Wenger has eyes for players , cheap and good , and entertaining , and so far he yet to deliver that UCL Trophy .

I am saying , we just had to give him more time during these transistion period .

Something important is changing hands .

It's not easy to manage both club's affair and against the 2 owners .

Unlike Rick Parry , Benitez only reported to him , Rafa doesn't need to meet the 2 owners .

I like to think , once the 2 Yankees sort out their sour relationship with Liverpool , Rafa will have an easier job to do .

I totally believe in Rafa , Sammy Lee and Mauricio Pellegrino .

But of course , i love Paco Ayesteran to return , which is not likely .

i felt Paco Ayesteran is the key to the unite of Liverpool's players .

Spambox, ok fine you said rafa has no money, the club has no money. ok.

our hatred towards him is that he screw up the present team.

playing babel at wings. keep playing 4321.
lucas has improved since the start of the season, fine i have nothing to say.

n'gog? crap.

and yup. using the money he has to buy someone who's half fit in hopes to salvage a 4th spot!

CL is a cup competition unlike league. to win the league u need to be consistent for all 38 matches in 9 mths. CL how many matches nia, 14 matches nia. but then to win CL is also not easy. but to win the league title in truly a good yardstick in your managerial abilities lor. his best chance to win was last season, but he blew it due to his scared to lose mentality. anyway rafa is not known for his caviar like style of football, a betrayal of the liverpool football in the 70s and 80s.

ASKL! SG

agreed. if only he played 442. babel with torres up front. gerrard and masch midfield. masch and move to the DM position every now and then.. wings would be operated by kyut and benayoun. i could see torres not stressing to find other teamates(to pass the ball to[attack]) already.

SpamBox SG

Take a step back out of babel and look at the team since Rafa joined. If you think Rafa did a bad job over 6 seasons and someone else would have done better, I have nothing to say.

If you think he did ok but do not deserve another season after this, I have nothing to say either.

Look at our starting 11 the past few games - a 1.5mil old greek CB, a young 1.5mil striker and a winger from a free transfer. The kind of players you expect to win the title?

I still think he did a great job nonetheless. If you think otherwise, with not playing babel up front as your main argument, speaks a lot about the mentality of supporters here.

As romanista2001 SG

so Rafa not going to Real or Juve huh ?

scared that his overhyped reputation will finally be exposed.................

Rafa must hone his coaching skills 1st.................let him coach Balestier Khalsa...........can win our ASS-League then talk lah................

he won't complain not having enough money to spend anymore at Balestier................becoz there's NONE to spend at all...........

ASKL! SG

ok. lets see what would you say about the formation?

TTFU SG

The only thing that ppl reminds of him is champions league victory over millan..... other than that.... its all his trolling and nice signings....

SpamBox SG

ok. lets see what would you say about the formation?

what's there to say? that your formation and line up was better and would win us the league? that rafa should have listened to you all along?

go play more fm.

brokenluv SG

i think rafa did improve liverpool since he took charge that helped us to maintain top 4 status up til this season. before that, we werent even champions league regulars in the 90s. however he has made several bad signings, a series of poor results, fked up yankees and negative boring football has brought about his critics.

ASKL! SG

if a formation cant help you to win the game, what can? yes motivation was a factor too.

come on i'll give you a scenario, if a manager does not deploy any strikers, can they score easily?

ASKL! SG

try getting a better reply rather than asking me to play more fm. a 3 year old kid could even know a formation DOES INDEED HELP.

ASKL! SG

sorry if my reply was slow, i don't have all day to worship rafa.

A 3 yr old also wouldn't post team lineup and formation and claim he can do better than rafa.

It's fine if you dont agree to rafa's tactics - but it's a long stretch to say you could have done better. Did you complain when we broke chelsea's 4 season unbeaten home record? or when we beat the mancs 4-1 last year?

"oh so we won 4-1, great, but that formation sucks. if we had played 4-4-2 with babel up front it could had been 10-1 instead"

ASKL! SG

ok, so when did i say i would do better than rafa?

and i didn't say by doing so it would definitely better, it was merely my 2cents and you took it that seriously.

ASKL! SG

i didn't say after winning, but let me ask you, is it wise for you to sub of your BEST striker and captain when you are drawing the game 1-1?

whatsmore time and time again he told us he WILL get 4th spot. and keep saying we have turned the corner, and what happened? the next game we lost it. sorry i'm not anti liverpool, just anti rafa. I love liverpool.

Medicated Oil SG

I think he should blame roman for sacking jose.

Without jose, ah ben did not deploy or work better.

The true state of Liverpool is that we lack depth in strikers and there are no youth players coming forward.

Getting 4th position for this season is impossible now.

Time to re-build the squad.

The next season with NO europe distraction will be a good test for Ah Ben.
