Remembering Singapore the way it was

Time moves pretty fast. Speaking of those days, I'm probably the last 20th century kid who still remember everything, before 21st century.

Short Ninja SG

BBC comedies were excellent..

does anyone remember this exuberant old dude called Magnus Pike in "Don't Ask Me" which was this wonderfully insane science series..

he was one of the professors who was in there along with botanist David Bellamy and Miriam Stoppard, MD...

he also appeared in Thomas Dolby's video of "She Blinded Me With Science"

From this program I learned that walking on fire is perfectly safe>LOL

the Bear SG

these guys

David Bellamy

Dr Miriam Stoppard

I remember David Bellamy the bearded guy on nature. Faint memory on Magnus Pike.

i'll always remember Mike Hammer as the series using Harlem Nocturne for its theme... one of the greatest saxophone pieces ever.. and almost tailor-made for a character like Mike Hammer

Chew Bakar SG

That's a nice tune.

Mork and Mindy?

Mork and Mindy?

can't believe a dream sequence from Happy Days spawned a series

The young Robin Williams.

the Bear SG

okay.. i was a young cub then..

did anyone remember this insane children's series called The Banana Splits?

My kids watched that. They got some fun rides or do something funny in an amusement park.

Another ridiculous one: Sigmud and the Sea Monsters.

Oh i see. Thought they have been around say since the 50s or 60s.

It is a very good programme for the kids. I rather kids watch this than those violent cartoons.

these days, some of those cartoons are violent. Some violent ones are from Japan and US. Lots of fighting involved.

Boys love to see fighting, guess that what they cater for.

But still there can be a limit to the fighting scenes I suppose
