actually its quite scary. the elderly are like this social
underclass in Singapore. you go fast food restaurant, elderly folks
serving you. go food court,elderly folks clearing tables, go
toilet, eldetrly toilet cleaners. walk around town, elderly
beggars, tissue paper sellings, and drink can collectors etc
that's why I never return my trays at the fast food resturants
.....
I figured that if everyone starts returning their trays ....
they'd be out of a job ....
and considering where you work, I think it's a crying shame how
the aunties at your side are being treated ....
I used to think those tissue aunties and beggers at orchard road
as something shameful for our society ... it's not exactly the
imagine I'd like foreign visitors to see ....
but now, I think if there are enough of those around, maybe the
powers-that-be would wake up and do something ...
