The carcasses from the meatworks are usually drained of blood
before they are being pack. The blood, fats and spare parts from
the carcass are usually sold to other companies as raw materials
for the production of cosmetics, soaps, animal feed etc.
The smell from pork (if they are not rotten) is usually the sex
pheromones in pigs. Someone did explain to me when I was working in
the meatworks.
