SSI is definitely NOT like NAUI, it's not even close to PADI in
terms of recognition.
there are only a few SSI certifiers in Singapore, and I think I
know most of them .... a couple of them are really dodgy
characters, can PM me if you want to know more, but honestly, stick
to NAUI, it's probably a little more expensive, a little more
difficult than anything out there (except BSAC, but nobody goes for
that nowadays), but you get what you pay for, and since scuba IS
really a dangerous sport (something neophyte, open water divers,
what i call weekend warriors, often forget), so learn it well eh
...
the place Bear knows is very reputable, I've dived with that joint
a couple of times myself, but it's rather pricey, I can recommend
you cheaper ones, or alternatively, can psycho Bear to come along
as well, got group discounts
