Rhonda SG Double drats!! No can-do! It ought to be 'My muscles ache on your behalf!' What's happening to my English?
kops21 SG It was an education tour cum run cum something meaningful. I enjoyed it. 30km isnt that long actually, just that the time to complete the run was VERY LONG. I would do that again, if given the opportunity. My bones didnt ache, in fact i wanted to do another 10km next day if not bcos i had prior appointment. Thanks for sharing the ache.
SGpork SG err nah i always run only ..when the sun sets.. or late at night.. where i get cats n dog to run with me..
the Bear SG you can get cats to do anything? Originally posted by Wanda: You can get cats to run with you?
Wanda SG No, it's more like the cats can get us to do many things. Ok, the benefit of exercise would be....so that we can continue to exercise when we're old?
the Bear SG i guess... right now, i'd be happy if i can get back into shape to be able to exercise without crippling myself again
Rhonda SG Originally posted by Wanda: You can get cats to run with you? You can! Run before a big cat and they'll surely run after you... for their supper!
Wanda SG Is it your back ache? Seriously, you must try pilates. It's done wonders for my chronic lower back ache, after 3+ mths. My instructor said it the was the only exercise that could cure her back injury which she had since 12 yrs old.
the Bear SG right now, there's a lot of swollen tissue there causing a pinched nerve which is driving me nuts... before that were 2 episodes of slipped disc.. same disc first time, the butchers in the hospital cut me up... the 2nd time, the chiropractors did wonders.. now under the care of the chiropractors... may go see a chinese physician for help with the swelling
Rhonda SG Yo, Wanda! I've been telling the Bear that Pilates is good for his back but he keeps giving excuses. I attend Pilates regularly, well, before my recent knee injury anyways, and it did help to keep my backache at bay. You know how all nurses suffer from backache - occupational hazard, but it was Pilates that helped me to strengthen my back muscles and lessened the pain, if not made it disappear altogether on lucky days! Maybe, I should draaaaaag the Bear to a Pilates class with me! hahaha!
Wanda SG Oh dear me, now you tell me being a nurse will get more backache! Definitely agree with you that Pilates helps, speaking from experience. I wonder where can men join Pilates classes? Find one suitable for the bear lor, and perhaps for my hubby also.
