I would runn XP pro, i put 4gb of RAM, the ram i use KIT, anyway, 2gb ram i use liao oso lag in multitasking, like open dreamweaver(with 8-10 webpage open), photoshop, i tunes, msn, sometimes windows movie maker or sony vegas.....

Open so many thing at one shot and you are willing to spend so much on a 1k PSU which would obviously be overkill unless you running Quad-SLi(which is not possible in today's erm) but not willing to upgrade your monitor. really dun know what to say

The Antec 900 casing is a dust magnet by the way, you will need to clean like crazy

A water-cooling system is powered externally through A/C, and no way on Earth would the LED/UV lights in the casing raise the power supply requirement to 1 kW unless you are operating some army-grade laser gun in it. If you have one, please point it at his head and ask him whether 1kW really is the minimum.

I just googled around and found out that the liquid pump is actually powered by the ATX power supply, using around 20W of power. Sorry for the factual error above. Embarassed

And you'll still need to point the laser gun at his head before he would recommend a more appropriate PSU for you .

From 2.4 to 3 is safe as long as there is sufficient ventilation for the casing.

Consider a 22" Samsung or LG ba.

Your current system lags during multitasking probably because of the CPU and not due to the lack of RAM.
