the speed limit should be set by the government.
and they have a reason to set it there. so just follow it.
as a singaporean.... you shouldn't ask so much question and post so many idea.
the government have all settle everything for us liao. so just listen to them.

AE86tofu SG

well if u have that kind of speed limit might as well say no speed limit better...then those ppl who dun like to give way in the fast lane are in trouble as they will be fined for road hogging.... Laughing

ceecookie SG

not really....i have sat in the previous model of the Sunny and have experience the floating...this should be becoz of the light chasis...

other car like Mitsu should not have it....

And the speed limit for empty expressway should be 130km/h for most expressway and 140km/h on KJE.......KJE is a good expressway for speeding as there's no speed camera and most of KJE is a long straight road(which made it tempting to speed)

No speed cam???? lol, nowadays mobile speed cams are everywhere, aren't you aware? Those "ambush" cams are not for you to see, and the traffic police has been planting more ambush cams on more roads. If you have been speeding all along, thinking there were no cams, well, do wait for your summon letter to be sent to you home, wooahahahahahaha

dryver SG

cameras and police aside, what do you really think is a safe or allowable speed limit?

AF1 SG

It really depends on the car and individual's ability. However, some people are not aware of their limits resulting in worst-case situations.

i just drove from glasgow to london last friday. was doing average 90-100 mph. hit 115mph but the Ford Fiesta 1.25l wouldn’t go any faster, and started making funny creaking noises instead. 90-100 mph would be about 145 to 160 km/h, and 115mph would be…180+km/h?

tp in disguise....

but yes. It is ridiculous to have speed limits for empty roads. And how are we to judge when a road is empty or not. U could be doing 160 happily on an empty stretch when out of nowhere.. bam. some car appears.. or motorbike....

So i say.. its better to keep things the way they are right now.

tailslide SG

i'd say. u haven't been driving in europe if u haven't driven tops out in a m3 gtr on the autobahn Laughing might be lucky enuff 2 overtake a few stunned porches and ferraris along the way Wink
