This is the quote "First and foremost, it is based on the version of the engine fitted to the new and highly popular Lancer Evo VIII showroom car," scruntinize the whole page, u whole find a single sentence tat says this car bears the evolution tag.... p.s.- not flaming u here, juz enlightening u.....

evovii_523 SG far as i have seen n read...starting from the 2004, the wrc is going to b different from the street evolutions. but it definitely aint no lancer. do get your 'research' sorted out b4 u go around making such strong statements...for i ask tis question 'do u even have an evolution series?'

dansplace SG Terumo, IMHO, you should mod the car to look different from an evo, do it your style, surf the web and locate really nice bodykits… reason being – if you try and mod your car to look like an evo its always going to be a car that looks like an evo (and trust me its pretty easy to spot one). My two cents worth…
AE86tofu SG evo7? that sucks lar….dun like the looks….evo6 still the best….esp the T.M edition…evo7 is kinda boxy and bulky IMO at least the 8 is not that bad
[email protected] SG no use one... very easy to tell e diff. the body kit will look ill fitting, there will be some unsightly gaps at the space of the wheelarches and the flared arches of the body kit and if u leave the standard exhaust, its a dead give-away.
[email protected] SG as long as its an EVO then i love it. at least not the WRX. and b4 all u WRXists out there start telling me how the Spec C defeated the 8, think about it. The stock WRX should be pitted against the stock 8, how can u unfairly pit a spec C against a stock 8? stock WRX vs stock 8(think we all know who wins) WRX STi vs EVO8 MR(someone should do a test of this) WRX STi PPP vs EVO8 FQ-300(in car of the year test in one UK mag, the FQ300 simply sent the PPP whimpering back home) AND WRX STi Spec C vs EVO8 FQ-330 now thats a fair fight. the Spec C vs the FQ330. and i think, the FQ330 would win.
