I'm guessing that u are probably a gal.....well ur knee probably
hurts due to these reasons:
1. Pre-exercise warm-ups
2. Type of shoes worn
3. Place where u run
1 - As most people said, without proper warm-up, u get these but it
shldnt occur often. Also there are some minorities like someone I
know who dun need much warm-up yet can be more active, agile &
flexible than others who warm-up.
Anyway, I doubt this is your case.
2 - The type of shoes & paddings in it affects alot. FYI, not
all shoes provided by the army is good. In fact if its the
blue-yellow new balance shoes, u can discard that. It's the worst
running shoes ever cos many complained its causes more ankle twists
& strains than others despite its thick paddings.
It is chosen because its one of the few cheapest lots
available.
For good running shoes, look for those that are labelled 'Running
Shoes' or 'Cross-training' type.
I forgot the details in looking out for the difference in these but
I recall its gotta do with the shoe tip & the traction studs
below.
Cross-training shoes lasts longer & is the best if u wear your
shoes for all purposes including for your runs.
No matter what, padding is always impt & get extra if your
shoes does not have ample paddings, esp at the heel area.
3 - Place where u run also affects if the terrain is not the
regular running tracks.
Best would be under MRT tracks or running in the park.
Of course get a partner to run with u if u are a gal.
Last of all, if u feel any sore/pain after an exercise, massage the
area & take note if it still hurts 2 days after that. Do not
aggreviate it by exercising further if its a sports injury. Also
consult a doctor if it gets severe.
Hope this helps...^^
